Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 28, 2026 · Last updated: October 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the team behind Mahjong Tidy Tales (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Mahjong Tidy Tales game (the “Game”), this official website, and messages you send to us.

Game progress stays with you.The Game does not upload player data to our servers. Your progress is saved locally on your device. The Game is developed with Cocos, includes no additional third-party SDKs, and displays no advertisements.

1. Information and local storage

While you play. We do not collect or receive personal information, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, gameplay activity, or crash logs from the Game. Player data is not uploaded to our servers.

On your device. The Game stores progress and settings locally so you can continue playing. This information remains on your device; we cannot access it remotely. Any backup or restore performed by your device’s operating system or a backup service is controlled by that platform and your settings, rather than by a service we operate.

When you contact us. If you send us an email, we receive your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. Please send only information needed for your request and avoid including sensitive personal information.

When you visit this website. This website does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or cookies set by our website code. When the website is hosted online, the hosting infrastructure may process basic request information, such as your IP address, browser information, the page requested, and the time of the request, to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from gameplay data, which the Game does not upload.

2. Cocos, SDKs, and advertising

The Game is built using the Cocos game engine. We have not integrated additional third-party SDKs, including advertising, analytics, attribution, or social tracking SDKs. Using Cocos to run the Game does not change our practice of keeping player data on the device.

The Game contains no advertisements. We do not collect advertising identifiers, create advertising profiles, or track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

App stores, device platforms, your email provider, and any backup service you use operate under their own privacy policies. Their independent processing is outside the Game’s local storage practices.

3. How information is used

Locally stored data is used on your device to maintain your progress and preferences. Information you voluntarily send us is used to answer questions, provide support, address privacy requests, and resolve the issue you describe. Basic website request information, where processed by the hosting infrastructure, is used to serve the website, maintain availability, and prevent abuse.

Where a data protection law requires a legal basis, we process support correspondence as needed to respond to your request or provide requested assistance, for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our services, or to meet a legal obligation, as applicable. If a particular activity requires consent, we will seek that consent before carrying it out.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We have no uploaded gameplay database to share. Support correspondence and basic website request information may be handled by the email and hosting providers needed to deliver those services. We do not use those providers to conduct in-game analytics or advertising.

We may disclose information we actually hold if required by applicable law or a valid legal request, or where reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate abuse, or defend legal rights. Where applicable, service providers may process information in a country other than your own; any required protections for international transfers apply to that processing.

5. Retention and security

Local game data remains on your device until it is removed through the Game’s or device’s available controls, the app’s data is cleared, or the Game is uninstalled, subject to your platform’s backup and retention behavior. Because we do not receive this data, we cannot remotely recover or delete it.

We keep support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request, handle related follow-up, and meet applicable legal obligations. Website infrastructure logs, if retained, follow the hosting provider’s applicable retention settings and policies.

We use reasonable measures to protect information we handle. No email transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You can help protect locally stored information by securing your device and controlling access to its backups.

6. Your choices and rights

You control locally stored game data through your device and any available in-game settings. Clearing app data or uninstalling the Game may permanently remove your progress. Check your device’s backup settings if you also want to manage backed-up copies.

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold; object to or restrict certain processing; or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request about information you have sent us, email briseissa@docottongroup.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may request limited information reasonably needed to verify your request. We cannot retrieve local game data from your device.

7. Children’s privacy

The Game does not upload player information, including information about children, to our servers. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through support communications. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate under applicable law.

8. Policy updates

If our information practices change, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a material change. A future feature that changes how player data is handled will require a corresponding update to this policy.
